JustFund held its inaugural ‘Summer Drinks’ party on 15 November 2023 at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, overlooking the Sydney Opera House.
There was much to celebrate for the family-law focused litigation funder. Jack O’Donnell and Andy O’Connor opened the festivities. They spoke of the origins and founding of Just Fund, and their mission of using finance to unlock access to justice and support the lawyers who are helping turn the lives round of some of the most vulnerable clients in the country.
The room was packed with family lawyers, all enjoying a chance to let of some steam after a big year before the start of the notorious December mad season.
Ash caught up with attendees from Australian Family Lawyers, Lander & Rogers (incl. Ariane Potter), MistryFallahi Lawyers & Business Advisors (incl. Belinda Nixon and Jacinta Watkins), SUN LAWYERS and Unified Lawyers (incl. Dominic Nguyen, Carla Coelho, and James Lee).
The team from Unified Lawyers were out in force and celebrating their own incredibly successful year. A team of big personalities and the growth to match.
Ashley Kelso of Hivelight, and Denise Farmer and Ava Emdadian of Clio – Cloud-Based Legal Technology, were lucky enough to score invites as the sole legal tech representatives in the room.
Ash caught up with Just Fund founders and investors, including Craig Carroll (who claims credit for the brilliant move of having the bar serve margaritas – a very popular decision with everyone); Warrick McLean, and Jack O’Donnell.
